1. Educational Requirements:

✅ Minimum Qualification: 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and English is Required.
✅ Alternative: If you don’t have these subjects, enroll in an open university to clear them.

✅ English Proficiency: ICAO Level 4 or higher.

2. Pilot Training Options to become Pilot in India:

A. Aviation Schools (India & Abroad):

  • Top Indian Flight Schools: Indira Gandhi Institute of Aeronautics, CAE Gondia, Indira Gandhi Institute of Flight Training.
  • Course Duration: 18-24 months.
  • Fees: ₹35-50 lakh (including training, exams, and flight hours).

B. Airline Cadet Pilot Programs:

  • Examples: IndiGo Cadet Program, Air India Cadet Pilot Program.
  • Course Duration: 18-24 months.
  • Fees: ₹50-75 lakh (comprehensive training, including airline job placement).

C. Military Pilot School Route:

  • Options: Indian Air Force (NDA, AFCAT), Indian Navy, Coast Guard.
  • Cost: Fully sponsored by the government.

3. License Requirements to Become pilot in India:

  • A. Student Pilot License (SPL): ₹75,000 – ₹1 lakh (basic flight lessons)
    B. Private Pilot License (PPL): ₹6-8 lakh (40-60 flight hours)
    C. Commercial Pilot License (CPL): ₹25-45 lakh (200+ flight hours, exams, simulator training)
